The wisdom of Jim Rohn, the original godfather of self-help.• At 31 he became a millionaire• He died in 2009 with a net worth of $500M• 6,000+ events. 4M people• 17 books, millions of copiesHis philosophy is made up of these 11 parts:1. "Don’t major in minor things."A cubicle job is a minor thing. Yet that's what a lot of people do until 65, then they retire and die.Choose paths where you get to major in major things that make you extraordinary.2. "Learn how to work harder on yourself than you do on your job."Most people are stuck because they have no time, thanks to their job.Obsess over your side hustle if you want to be free.3. “We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. 90% people are drowning in regrets.4. “Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better"Easy games are a waste of time. Fulfilment and purpose come from playing hard games. Choose a hard game to be successful.5. “Formal education will make you a living. Self-education will make you a fortune.”Do your own research, find free courses, then instantly apply the information. Example: https://ocw.mit.edu/. 6. “If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse.”People have dreams, but they put them off.Relentlessly pursue your dreams. Dare to think big and believe you could be bigger than your heros. There are no limitations but those you place on yourself. 7. “It isn’t what the book costs. It’s what it will cost you if you don’t read it.”It's easy to see everything as an expense. But if you don't spend money to figure out what you don't know, the tax on that stupidity is enormous. If it makes you an ROI it's an investment.8. “Successful people have libraries. The rest have big screen TVs”Became an avid reader. Steal ideas from books. Synthesise them to make them your own. Entire brands are built from single ideas. 9. “If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.”The biggest risk takers become the leaders and innovators. Ordinary people take zero risks. What they get back are huge regrets.10. “You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour”9-5 psychology makes you brokeOnce you nail a skill go one-to-many - bring it to new and larger audiences. 11. “Without a sense of urgency, desire loses its value”Average people operate at snail's pace. Urgency in your 20s and 30s, with a focus on network & business, means increased wealth, which results in more money to create leverage and ultimately work less if you chose. Leverage = Freedom

Quantity———— = BurnoutQualityI fully relate to these three principles to become more productive: do less, work at a natural pace, and obsess over quality. Tell the truth, were you multitasking when you watched this video? 😆

If you know me, you know how much I love the Future Motion OneWheel! Life wouldn’t be complete without the incredible sense of joy, freedom, and adventure I find in riding this electric snowboard type device. Here’s me (in the center/back with the yellow helmet in my hand) at the Float Life Fest 6 event last year, where riders from around the world gathered for racing, education, delicious food, great music, and amazing camaraderie. Can’t wait for Float Life Fest 7! Check out the OneWheel for yourself and join us there this year!

I know you are asking today, “How long will it take?”Somebody’s asking, “How long will prejudice blind the visions of men, darken their understanding, and drive bright-eyed wisdom from her sacred throne?” Somebody’s asking, “When will wounded justice, lying prostrate on the streets of Selma and Birmingham and communities all over the South, be lifted from this dust of shame to reign supreme among the children of men?” Somebody’s asking, “When will the radiant star of hope be plunged against the nocturnal bosom of this lonely night, plucked from weary souls with chains of fear and the manacles of death? How long will justice be crucified, and truth bear it?”I come to say to you this afternoon, however difficult the moment, however frustrating the hour, it will not be long, because “truth crushed to earth will rise again.”How long? Not long, because “no lie can live forever.”How long? Not long, because “you shall reap what you sow.” How long? Not long:Truth forever on the scaffold,Wrong forever on the throne,Yet that scaffold sways the future,And, behind the dim unknown,Standeth God within the shadow,Keeping watch above his own.How long? Not long, because the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice. How long? Not long, because:Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He has loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword; His truth is marching on.He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat.O, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! Be jubilant my feet! Our God is marching on.Glory, hallelujah! Glory, hallelujah!Glory, hallelujah! Glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.Excerpt from “Our God is Marching On” – Selma, Alabama, March 25, 1965Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Where do you currently fall on the Dunning-Kruger chart? I think the healthy answer is to be in multiple places for various fields. While some fields may be at the point of “Mastery,” I think it’s important to develope new fields on the “Slope of Enlightenment” and maintain some others on the “Plateau of Productivity.” Perhaps in some fields, I’m on the peak of “Mount Stupid” and not even aware. Does anyone really know when they’re on that peak?
